I provide therapy to older adults in an empathetic, non-judgmental, and culturally sensitive way. In addition to working on mental health challenges like depression and anxiety, broader issues such as existential fears, meaning in life, and sense of belonging can be addressed. Older adults often find it particularly difficult to engage in therapy therefore I strive to support them on a path of choosing self-compassion over self-stigma.
During our sessions, I draw from the following approaches: cognitive-behavioral therapy including CBT-I (for insomnia) and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, grief therapy, existential therapy, and strength-based therapy.
