I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) specializing in the field of aging and services to older adults and their families.
After earning my Master’s degree in social work with a specialization in geriatrics about a decade ago, I have provided therapy and case management services to older adults from various economic and ethnic backgrounds in a non-profit agency that partnered with the San Francisco Department of Public Health. Later on, I transitioned to supporting elderly clients in an intensive outpatient hospital-based program with a focus on group therapy.
Over the years, I became passionate about bringing more mental health professionals in the field of aging, which lead me to teaching a graduate level course in Aging and Health for social workers at my alma mater San Jose State University.
In addition, I co-created Age Self Care, a UCSF program, that educates community-dwelling older adults about health, social engagement, and home adaptation. I have contributed content on the importance of socializing, self-care, and anti-ageism to this online group medical visit program.
I am currently serving older adults at my private ADA compliant practice in Burlingame near to public transportation where I provide psychotherapy and care consultations to individuals, couples, and families. Also, I see clients remotely for care assessment, planning, identification of resources, and supportive therapy. I am fluent in Russian and German.
I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to discuss your needs, applicable therapeutic approaches, and possible duration of treatment. Medicare and private pay are accepted.
